Fostering a dog is one of the most impactful ways you can help a rescue dog find the happy ending they deserve. Not only does it give a dog in need a huge head-start in their journey to a forever home, it is also hugely rewarding for you!

You are Saving a Life by Fostering

You are quite literally saving a life! Many of our dogs are on kill lists & have nowhere else to go,  so every time one comes over to a UK foster home we can get another off the kill list. When you foster a rescue dog  you are signing up to foster him or her until they are adopted. Whether by you or another family. This doesn't mean that if they're not suitable to be adopted by your family that we will move them somewhere else. We ask that you work through any issues together with us. They are shelter dogs and will be far from perfect when they arrive.  Some dogs are ready for adoption very quickly. Other dogs may take many weeks, or even months to be ready to leave with a new family. Our team will give you support and guidance at any point while you foster with us.

We need fosterers to be able to see their dog through to adoption which could be up to a few weeks/ couple of months.

If you have Some experience of dogs are Committed to see your foster through to adoption we need you.

Also we need, Previous rescue experienced fosterers and Longer term fosters with experience of dealing with traumatised dogs or those requiring training, boundaries, anxiety etc.

Fostering a dog can be hard work at times but is is very rewarding; seeing your foster dog settle; seeing it gain confidence and learn to trust and then seeing it go off to it's forever home; gives you such joy. To know that you have helped your foster dog to learn the skills needed to move to a forever home; and give them a chance to have a fulfilled life as a much loved happy dog is the best feeling ever.
